I did purchase Tech Tool Pro 5 and it didn't indicate a hardware problem.

It is version 2. However, take a look at this FAQ: PowerBook G4 15" Machine Model: Do it while your machine is still classified as "Supported" — it won't be for much longer.

You may need to take your machine in to be checked there. Register a new account. I talked to Apple support and they say they don't carry it in stock anymore over five years old.

This apple CD says it is for a 12 inch G4 power book. My powerbook is running just fine I think. May 3, 9: Sign in Sign in Sign in corporate. Here's a link to that, although you will need to burn it yourself.

AHT's results are intended to be more useful to AppleCare telephone reps, Apple technicians and Geniuses than to end users. I have seen Apple branded Powerbook G4 hardware test CDs for sale on ebay and thought about buying one. All replies Drop Down menu.

User profile for user: It probably isn't going to be feasible to find the right disc for your old machine at this late date. Do the CDs fix anthing or just look at your hardware? To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.
